wanted to update yesterday after reaching home from camp, but felt too lethargic...
sumhow, our bags are always heavier to be carried when going home than when we are going for the camp...xD
anyways....the first day was the most challenging one... whoa....the circuit part la...in the superhot afternoon sun...did crunches,pull-ups,pushups,jumping-jacks and butterfly-kicks...
whoa...imagine the running track...superhot...blisteringly hot...had to do all those excercises there...except for the pullups where the bar was not that hot, the rest were lyk having to taste the similarity of hell, though i know hell is much hotter..well ya...did 8 sets of everything..then felt relieved to be able to go to the shower to rince our bodies...our back felt like it was burnt coz some of us, including me...did not expect to be doing those excercises on the track, thus we did those excercises topless, yes...topless...thus the burning-back sensation when doing crunches and butterfly-kicks...and pushups hurt as much...coz our palms are like touching the hot track...whoa....hate it la...aiyoyo...well...itz over...plus now..everything's alrite..hahakz..
besides that...as we muslims were fasting, while the non-muslims had to run in the hot sun, we were to run in the pool...yes, aqua-jogging...itz much tougher actually...had to use those long noodles...and put them in between our legs..yes...painful for us guys, not for the ladies...hahakz..
well ya...s0me were thankful to be doing aqua-jogging, while some, wasn't...hahakz...HANIF cudn't swim..thus the real need for that noodle...as usual, i'm always gd in diz sort of running things...coz diz type of jogging uses more of our thigh muscles to propel us forward...hence i'm like always in front of the rest...and everytym i finish 1 lap, from the front, it's quite funny to see HANIF...him really focusing to stay afloat while wanting to move forward...xD
plus his cute mohawk hair and the noodle, popping up behind him, wagging like a tail....he looks like a small dinosaur in the water, swimming...lol...man my imaginations...well...yea...
gyming was also part of the activity in the training camp... had to do the ergometer...whoa....felt worse than rowing in the real boat...did 3 sets of the machine for 2.5mins for every set and can die liddat man...made our throats superthirsty man...whoa....plus..did twistings with the medicine ball and the freeweights...for the 5 excercises...10kg on each side...did endurance....for 1 min each....whoa....can die man...fasting summre...by the end of the 3.5hrs of gym session...all our bodies were like aching so much man....the trapezius especially...sheesh...well, we endured...hahakz...tough tymz dun last, tough men do...lol
Sea-rowing was on the 2nd and last day of camp...it was much fun, compared to doing the ergometer, row how much also, still at the same place..xD
well...yea..sea-rowing was ok...except that we juniors had to take the SDBA boat, which is lighter while the seniours had the priveledge of taking the 2 sch-newly-acquired-race boat...soo much lighter la...aiyo...well nvm.. i take it that we train with the heavier boat to have more power in our drive...hahakz...
and the last thing i wanna say...this camp is the first ever camp where there were no lyk putting of colgates on the faces and all in the middle of the nite...despite them planning and all b4 slping...hahakz...all were too exhausted i guess..xD
but...there were the seniors bullying the juniors...pulling of underwear till itz really torn...literally...like we juniors were trapped in the pool by them...and they surround us to the corner...they start bypulling one-by-one and like 5 of them were like monsters shredding our underwears...lol
i was safe somehow..hahakz...though i tried pulling some of my friends back to a safe corner when the seniors were pulling them..to have their underwears being torn...itz quite bizzare really...to see some of ur friends being pulled and screaming for mercy when their underwears were tearing...lol
on the other hand...cuzzen FAD and ZAKI were having fun pulling underwears in water as they are the seniors..lol..man..
HANIF too was pulled...but halfway, was spared...he told us the seniors said "ehk! halal, cannot touch"...and let go of him...lol
this brought me to think dat we muslims were quite respected in dragonboat...dunno y...
well...upon reaching home frm camp...at buke, mum said "dah gelap kau"..whoa...sad man..xD
ouh ya..last but not least...HAPPY BIRTHDAY to me!! hahakz..
